‘He was like Akuku Danger’ – Morgan Heritage on fathers multiple baby mama’s

Peetah and Gramps joined Maina Kageni in studio Tuesday to talk more about their Kenyan concert.

They have a big show this weekend whose concept they explained

It’s all about the youths. last year when we arrived in Kenya we had a few shows everywhere we went we saw the same thing among the youth: lack of preparing youth to be leaders, anything that helps the future of mankind, so we thought we need to do something that creates awareness. What we have realised is that youth in the ghetto look up to the artistes, to celebrities.

‘We face pressure from friends wearing Sh80,000 wigs’, confesses woman

They also opened up about their father, who has fathered almost 30 children with several baby mamas.

Maina Kageni was curious about this fact, and the duo did not hold back saying

‘my father was dangerous’

Maina Kageni prompted another response equating their father to Akuku Danger to which they responded

‘I like that, yeah like Akuku Danger. may his soul rest in peace but it’s okay

May his soul rest in peace, he was a great man, a great man’ they emphasized.

‘Don’t bury me in Muranga!’ Policeman pens chilling suicide post

They are part of singer Denroy “Daddy” Morgan’s 30 children.

Back in 2005 the legendary musician spoke about his children in an interview with Jamaican Observer.

“There are more with talent, but I never force anything on them. They make a choice and I support it, my greatest achievement is seeing my children… making music that inspires people in their daily lives.”

Jemere jetteed into Kenya to take part in the Tomorrow’s Leader Festival alongside such stars as Morgan Heritage, Jose Chameleon, StoneBwoy, Alaine, Yemi Alade, Diamond Platnumz, Wyre Da Love Child, Naiboi, Rophan and many more.

‘She strips every ounce of dignity out of me’ City man confesses being disrespected by his wife despite his senior position (Audio)

You have probably heard the phrase mwanamke ni tabia sura hata mbuzi anayo. This  applies mostly for Kenyan women who have been termed disrespectful.

Maina Kageni could not wrap his head around the fact that despite some men being respected in the whole country, having the president on speed dial, their wives belittle them to an extent of them getting stressed.

Here is what Classic 105’s fans had to say

“When growing up I kept hearing my mother refer to my dad as useless and not because she was mean but because he would dedicate himself to other so much and only give us leftovers.

Every time he came home he was always tired ,not even wanting to talk to my mother but with us there is no smile no emotion nothing.

But when talking to someone else you would see his excitement, he was always giggling, yet he had no interest in the family.”

‘I shared my fantasies with him and he did it just like I have always desired’ Woman brags about infidelity on live radio (Audio)

She continues

“My mum has been fending for him since he retired 20 years ago,he does not even want to get involved in a business, I do not know what happened to Kenyan men .”

Another says

“I am a director at a real estate company, I am well respected and people even come telling me that they wish they had a marriage like mine, if only they knew.

I decided I will not pay school transport for my kids because I want to spend more time with my kids because when I get home I have to keep quiet because anything I say is used against me later

If  I was given a chance to get married I would not marry this lady, she was a queen when she started dating but she changed so much .”

‘Deep down, I know I am totally and completely innocent over the allegations leveled against me’ Jowie states in his affidavit

He adds

“I looked forward to the day we would love a life together, when you hear people talking about women with sponsors there are times I wish someone can just katia her so that we can share the stress.

Whenever she tells me that anapitia kwa ofisi I make sure that I get something to do outside the office just so that she finds me absent.

I wish you knew whom I am so that you can understand what I mean, this lady peels you like an onion, sometimes I just go to the bathroom and look at the mirror I don’t see anything, she takes everything out of you.”

Classic 105 presenter Maina Kageni was shocked when someone confided in him that she had not talked to her house manager for the eight years she has worked for them.

Maina gave his listeners a chance to give their reasons on why they are paranoid, most of the callers were women who said that women are their worst enemies. Adding that if they gave their domestic workers a chance they would plot and run away with their husbands.

Another caller did not mince her word and here is what she had to say:

‘My man should not even stare at her even if I find them talking to each other she will have to pack her bags and go.”

The next caller was a man and he could not understand how he is not supposed to talk to his house manager yet he is the one paying her. One caller advised Maina that if he wanted an easy life he would rather keep off from house helps and if not possible just hire a house boy.

Another caller left listeners in stitches after saying this:

“My house manager will not dress the way she wants there is a uniform for her and a long one for that, I cannot employ a young girl I would rather employ an old woman who is already experiencing menopause.”

‘I take a lot of comfort from how John Macharia lived his life’, Maina Kageni (audio)

John Macharia will be buried today in  Gatanga constituency, Murang’a county.

The late John  Macharia, son of Royal Media Services chairman and founder SK Macharia  passed away last week on Friday at the age of 38 years,  after he sustained fatal injuries along the Southern bypass in a grisly accident.

He passed away at Karen hospital.

He was the Executive Director at Harbour Capital and the director and founder of Triple-A Finance and Direct Line Assurance.

The late John Macharia is related to Classic 105 FM presenter Maina Kageni, who’s his cousin.

Maina took it to social media to pay tribute  to his cousin, revealing it was John who helped him grow to the man he is today.

New disturbing details emerge about SK Macharia’s son John Macharia -multiBILLION fraud scandal revisited

john-macharia

He wrote;

John Macharia

“R.I.P John Macharia…. you were a tough authority to us growing up!!! You demanded discipline, you demanded that we (especially Karanja and I) take responsibility for our daring actions like stealing Mum’s car to go clubbing!!

You made it clear that you were The Don, and, my goodness, woe unto us any time we disobeyed you!!!

But you taught us some life lessons that remain with me today… and when we were all done with the teenage rampage, you were the first person to show us the way to growing up mentally…

You had a great business mind and always asked me THAT question – “are you better financially now than you were at this time last year?”

You leave a wonderful son, a mother who doted on you, a father who RESPECTED you, a brother who obeyed and always looked up to you, two sisters who simply adored you and a wider family…

Personally, mine is to thank you for the lessons, the craziness growing up, the advice, the mentorship, the friendship and for always looking out for us… Mum, Ciku, Muturi and I will miss you very much too….. but we’re grateful that you were in our lives… Rest well….. Shalom.”

Well, the burial is taking place today in a low key event and Maina announced on air that he will be attending the funeral.

During the breakfast show he said;

“I am going to John Macharia’s funeral, he is being buried in Murang’a county.

I owe this man because he lived his life so well so it is a bit of a celebration. I take a lot of comfort from how he lived his life.

You know this life you need to live to the fullest with a big spoon if you can. Maisha ni mafupi.”

Maina Kageni reveals who he would marry between Huddah and Vera Sidika (Audio)

We all know Maina Kageni is a foodie, who also enjoys eating alongside his dabo dabo. So it’s expected that he would want a woman who can cook right? Wrong!!!

Wanatosha mboga, according to his the Classic 105 presenter.

Well, today during the morning conversation Maina raised this topic of why men cannot marry women who do not know how to cook.

Julie Gichuru yesterday posted that her father thought she would never get married because she never knew how to cook.

She wrote on her instagram page;

“My father was reading the newspaper but stopped to contribute to a debate I was having with my mother.

He interjected firmly, “But Julie, you must learn how to cook!” He was perturbed but I could tell it came from a place of love. So here’s the low down. I was a teenager & I had pointedly refused to learn how to cook.

As the only daughter in the family it was obvious & apparently a source of social embarrassment. Indeed, in an African – Asian home this was unheard of, girls should know their place & the kitchen was part of that. But I was adamant, I was disinterested in the art of cooking..

Well, the discussion was lit and had mixed reactions from the listeners.

Mwalimu King’ang’i’s view was that he cannot marry a woman who can’t cook adding that she should not be just a cook but a good cook, Si ‘kupika mashakura’.

Maina responded by reminding him that a man can eat out or better yet hire a chef. After all who will marry these girls studying catering?

It was during this time that Kingangi said, ‘Taftieni Maina Kageni bibi Mluhya specifically, Unajua shida yako ukianza kufikiria bibi unafikiria Vera na Huddah.”

Then Maina said, “Me it’s either Huddah or Vera,

He added that he has eaten out for more than 10 years and doesn’t know the price of a packet of unga.

City woman tells Maina Kageni, ‘These Kenyan men do not understand the meaning of love!’

Never marry a woman who you love but marry a woman who loves you, these were the exact words from a caller of Classic 105 morning conversation with Maina and King’ang’i.

Maina asked, “So you mean that if you, a lady, is happily married then her husband is tolerating her but there is no love? There is either no love at all, or there is complete love?”

King’ang’i made it clear, saying that they love them but si ile upendo ya ujinga, adding that men should not love their women completely.

The reason your men will not buy you flowers today being a Valentine, is because they do not love you, Maina concluded.

The discussion brought in mixed reactions from the listeners with some saying “I still can’t understand how that works, marry someone you don’t love and call it a happy marriage? No wonder by the end of the day the guy will cheat with the one he loves out there.”

This is the biggest lame excuse Maina Kageni has heard from absentee fathers (AUDIO)

A female caller said, “This thing is very clear Maina. These Kenyan do not understand the meaning of love, they think that by buying a woman a car, a house or anything precious that it is enough love. They also think that by women having all that, they feel loved but that is not the fact. The fact is that when women leave their parents home to get married by you men, they need love and not those cars. She also asked the men to clarify if those house they claim to have bought for their women they are also living there.

If you think that buying the car for her is a sign of love, then put the logbook under her name.

Others love their children more than their wives.

Listen as Kenya men confess leaving their matrimonial homes for MWK’s because of their wives

Maina Kageni’s morning conversation started on a high note today with men confessing why they would leave their women for their Mpango Wa Kando’s and never return back to their matrimonial home.

Well, today Maina’s topic was based on a woman he met during the weekend whose husband disappeared and never returned, leaving his children with the wife and went to his MWK, forgetting about her and he  does not even pick her calls.

Mwalimu on the other hand said that no matter how long he goes away from his home, he will still come back and women should be patient, but Maina didn’t buy that.

He was mad and had this question, “Guys! What can make you forget the woman you walked down the isle with and your children for another woman? He also asked the MWK’s to tell him what they give to these married men in that they even forget their first wives.

The discussion had mixed reactions as always. One man said,”For a man to disappear from his home, there must be something she did to him that even on national radio, you can’t say it. Its better you leave than committing murder and end up in prison rather be at peace and free somewhere!”

Another male caller confessed to have left his wife 4 years ago. He told Maina, “you need to understand that women make men go away,  you know these women are the ones who make us go and another one welcomes us in. Connect that Maina. The kids are mine and I do not refute that. I have been gone for four years, I do everything for the children. She should not wait for me but I will go back maybe some days. These women are hell. I spoke to her 2 years ago and when I want to help my children, I just go there without her notice.

Listen as Kenyan women rubbish the men who claim that they don’t know how to look young(audio)

You beautiful woman, you you happy woman you, oh you blessed woman you…’

‘oh may you have a happy marriage darling, blessed’, the excited Classic105 presenter finished yesterday’s conversation with such amazing words to a Kenyan lady who revealed to him that she will be walking down the isle this year.

That was not the reason as to why Maina Kageni was amazed, but because the lady is turning 53 years old this year, getting married to a 65 year old man who has been to two other marriages before but did not work.

Well, today during the morning conversation, Maina revealed that he got in touch with he lady after the show, the lady even shared her picture with Maina which he showed some of his friends and they conquered that the lady is an absolute stunner. Maina described her like a 21 year old. Those friends however asked Maina to hold a conversation today and ask Kenyan women why they do not know how to remain young after their marriages.

‘You beautiful woman’, Listen as Maina Kageni gushes over woman who revealed it’s never too late to fall in love at 52 (AUDIO)

The discussion turned out to be a hot one with different opinions from the listeners.

Men claimed that ladies do not watch what they eat after getting married while others said that ladies become too careless with their bodies especially when they get babies.

For the ladies, they tried to support their fellow women saying that the “MEN are the reason they lose their shape, the men stress their women to the extend that they forget about shape. You lack nothing but your body is not settled thus you either add too much weight or loose too much weight and become too thin.” she added.

Well, another man sent a message and said that most men want their women to look like Zari Hassan, yet they do not have the picture of her immediately after she wakes up to know whether she is beautiful or not

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Why Maina Kageni thinks Nyashinski will rule 2018

Without a doubt it’s going to be the biggest song of 2018.

Singer Nyashinski was in studio where Maina Kageni hosted him as he released his new jam Hayawani.

This song Nyashinski revealed was mastered by Lucas of Ogopa Dj’s.

Nyashinski was premiering his new song and told Maina Kageni the inspiration behind it.

He said;

I feel like the way I see music it has different purposes there are songs for different things but I feel like in my songs I want to pass different messages.

It may be harsh but I feel I need to say it for my conscience to be at peace we need to be more humane, the music it ends with a glorious feel and thats intentional and I need people to feel not just hopeless but theres more don’t feel like the world is ending . Thats how the song sis supposed to sound.

I always feel pressure to do better than my song ‘now you know’ and mungu pekee‘, he added.

Maina: Do you realise how big you’ve become ?

Nyashinski: Man I try not to think about that because its a destruction. Right now I dont think that should be a focus but I’m thankful.

Maina: Tell me abut the new song, and the inspiration behind why you wrote it

Nyash: The inspiration is in the name and message of the song. You know, the humane part of us is slowly dying in us ,our conscience is becoming numb. Everyday we are used to seeing people killed, stealing has become a norm so where is our conscience ,where is that thing where we can differentiate between humane and others?

Maina let it slip that he has had the privilege of watching the two working in studio.

When did you meet Cedo?

Nyash; A year ago, maybe a year I think. When mungu pekee come out, that was the first time .

Maina; Where does Nyash want to be next year?

Nyashinski: Im gonna be an album artiste. Im working hard I’m not depending on my talent, I have a very big team thats hardworking, all I do is the write and the sing, everyone and I mean the whole team they all come together to bring the end product and what you see is not just my effort.

The most interesting thing is to let others do their part after I have done mine.

‘Men Have The Mentality That Women Are Pathological Liars’ Angry Woman Shouts (AUDIO)

This week, the discussion on Classic 105 with Maina Kageni has been heated and emotions from women have been exhibited.

This is because of the topics Maina Kageni has been bringing along.

Ladies have gone ahead to even cry in the midst of the conversation and Maina’s comments trying to console the ladies have always hit back to Mwalimu King’ang’i

Well today, Maina explained to his listeners what King’ang’i has been telling him. Mwalimu told Maina that he listens to everything that he is told by women who call to give their testimonies during the discussion.

Mwalimu went ahead and told Maina that women are pathological liars and that they can even cry to prove to you that they are telling the truth.

According to Mwalimu, he said that men have problems too, but do not cry even when they are strangled to death.

Maina asked the ladies to call him and clarify whether those accusations were true.

As always, there were missed reactions from the listeners.

A lady called in with a lot of bitterness and directed her comments to Mwalimu. She said as a woman, she understands women so much. No woman can call Classic 105 to lie about something.

Women are so open and they call to open up because men who they are leaving with do not understand them and that is why they call on radio to be heard. She advised men to be considerate to their women and when they see them crying, they mean it.

How Big Of A Role Does A Husband Play In Making A Womans’ Career Decision

In today’s morning conversation on Classic 105 with Maina and Kingangi, Maina Kageni posed a question:

“If a woman gets a job with the United Nations and the post is in New York City, should she move or leave the job? Keeping in mind it’s a huge chance of a lifetime.”

Mwalimu King’ang’i started off by asking:

“What is my role as the husband? Kazi ya bwanake ni nini? Usiniambie ni kukufuata nikikubebea handbag!”

When it comes to married women making a step career-wise, it becomes a bit tricky. What should the man do?

One man on twitter asked Maina;

“Kwani nimeoa career ama bibi?”

Most men who gave their feedback were really against it. They find it hard to support their women if it meant moving to another country. Reason being (according to one caller) when a woman gets money she becomes hard to handle and everything goes wrong with the family since she feels superior. Every decision a woman makes she has to consult her husband even where her career is concerned.

Some men wondered how can she go without him? Even if she is traveling every now and then and comes back home once in a while it is still a huge problem. Their reasoning being she is his property, God created woman for man not vice versa. They felt that it is better to be poor in Kenya rather than to travel to New York and leave him back home.

The crux of this story was, women should not try to downplay their goals or play at being dumb for a man to feel comfortable in her presence. A healthy man will celebrate their strength not scorn them. One lady posed a question;

“Do men enjoy when women stretch out their hands asking for money to buy food everyday? She is just trying to make it in life.”

Mainas last wise words were;

“Ladies there is informing, if he is not supporting you move on with your plans and self fulfillment. I am not saying you leave him compeletly but make your own decisions.”
