Charity Ngilu names the owners of the disputed playground

Lands CS  Charity Ngilu has named the owners of the disputed land in Langata Road Primary school through her twitter account.

This is after activists and students protested on Tuesday and took down a perimeter fence that had been erected on the grabbed land.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has directed the Ministry of Lands and the Nairobi County Government to issue title deeds to all schools in the name of school committees and boards of governors.

He asked leaders, including Members of County Assembly (MCA), to report to the authorities land stolen in their areas.

“If you are an MCA and you know there is public land that has been grabbed, inform us so that appropriate action can be taken to ensure justice has been done,” he said.

President Kenyatta spoke today when he launched   the construction of the Nairobi Eastern Missing Link roads at Nairobi’s Muratina Road/Gen. Waruinge Junction.

Shakira and Gerard Pique’s worldwide baby shower

Pregnant  Shakira and her boyfriend  Gerard Pique  celebrated the imminent arrival of their second child on Monday Jan. 19, by hosting a baby shower with a charitable cause.

The world-famous couple  thought of the idea back in 2012 when they were expecting their first child Milan.

Their latest “World Baby Shower  aims at  benefiting poverty-stricken children and mothers globally by setting up a registry of items for friends and family to purchase through UNICEF.

The UNICEF website reads “As part of our new baby celebration, we can give vulnerable babies a brighter beginning. This is more than a shower, it’s a global movement to save lives.”

It also has a link where you can select a gift from their  gift registry to send real life saving items delivered to vulnerable children around the world. In addition, you could also make a donation or offer to host a baby shower for someone in need.

“With the Strongest Women in this planet from #Laibara Village in Bisil Kajiado County. Now heading to Makindu in Makueni County.
Water and sanitation has not had the same kind of champion that global health, and even education, have had. No innovation in the past 200 years has done more to save lives and improve health
than the sanitation revolution triggered by invention of the toilet. But it did not go far enough. It only reached one-third of the world.
The most essential thing is clean water and sanitation everywhere.
