Raila, Khalwale arrive at Aga Khan hospital where Wetang’ula is admitted

Cord leader Raila Odinga and Kakamega senator Bonny Khalwale has arrived at Aga Khan hospital in Kisumu to see Bungoma senator Moses Wetang’ula who was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed at the Kisumu International airport.

Raila is still inside the hospital with Funyula MP Paul Otuoma.

The senator’s brother Fred Wetang’ula confirmed the Friday morning incident saying that the Cord co-principal has been rushed to the hospital for treatment, he did not disclose what was ailing his brother.

Otuoma was in the same flight with Wetang’ula from Nairobi when he collapsed.

Sources say Wetang’ula started vomiting on board the Jambo Jet plane and there was an ambulance waiting for him at the airport.

Kisumu Airport manager Joseph Okumu confirmed the incident but said only the family can comment on what happened.

Luo Council of Elders Willis Otondi and two Kisumu MCAs are already at the hospital.

Khalwale suspended from UDF for associating with Raila team

Kakamega senator Bonny Khalwale has been left without a political party to call home after UDF delegates expelled him on Monday.

At a special National delegates Conference held in Nairobi, the delegates elected to show Khalwale the door over his continued association with CORD and his support for the ‘Okoa Kenya’ campaigns.

The senator has been actively campaigning for a referendum, a  push spearheaded by CORD leader Raila Odinga.

His party UDF has largely stayed away from the campaigns.

The party also expelled its chairman Hassan Osman and replaced him with Sawa Tandaza.

Musalia Mudavadi still remains the UDF party leader with Jeremiah Kioni as his deputy.
