I am literally living off gigs because you held my hand – Kate Actress tells Njugush

They say that no man is an island. This saying comes from a sermon by the seventeenth-century English author John Donne.

The meaning is that no one is self-sufficient; everyone relies on others. This phrase comes to mind when one thinks of Blessed Njugush’s relationship with Catherine Kamau aka Kate actress.

The thespian penned down a message of appreciation to comedian Timothy Kimani aka Njugush for teaching her how to hustle on social media.

Kate used social media platform Twitter to thank Njugush for the impact he had had on her career, saying, “An appreciation tweet for @BlessedNjugush, I am literally living off social media gigs because you held my hand, you showed me the ropes .you are appreciated litu bro.”

The object of her praise was magnanimous and responded with the message, “Thanks so much wamapupuu…..but…can 2020 look at us the way you look at me…..”.

The two who are family friends who acted together on local TV drama Sue na Johnnie. And Kate Actress isn’t the only celeb who has credited Njugush with helping her career.

‘Mkurugenzi! You have helped so many souls’ Kate Actress praises Abel Mutua in birthday message

Last month, popular TV director Abel Mutua also credited Njugush with being a huge factor in his success in the last two years.

Abel said that the comedian had been “taking care” of his family for the last two years after the director helped guide his path in the film industry.

This is because Njugush allowed Abel’s wife Judy Nyawira to become his brand manager. And the earnings she has been getting has helped with the needs at their home.

Clearly, Njugush is one of those celebs with the rare combination of immense talent, perseverance, humility and above all a giving heart.

Blessed Njugush has ascended the heights of entertainment in this country with some of the best family-friendly comedy available.

Along the way, he has been helped heavily by some people and credit to Njugush for not forgetting them as he has also returned the favour. One of those people is popular video director Abel Mutua.

Abel recently came out to reveal that Njugush had been “taking care” of his family for the last two years after the director helped guide his path in the film industry.

During an episode of Celeb First Encounters, Abel explained that he and Njugush had met way back in 2011 after the filmmaker recognised him when he went to watch a play rehearsal at the Kenya Institute Mass Communication.

Abel said that he had fallen in love with Njugush’s comedy act and that he promised to work with him in the future, which later transpired in 2013.

After that, the comedian made his big break on the Real Househelps of Kawangware, which Abel also offered to Njugush.

“When he joined the show, even our reviews became better and people noticed us. By the time that year was ending he became a great and I promised him he would become a great person,” Abel said.

Njugush then started doing his online comedy and devised a way to reward Abel for all the help he had given him previously.

The comedian allowed Abel’s wife Judy Nyawira to become his brand manager with the earnings she gets helping with the needs at their home.

This has allowed Abel to focus on his daughter’s education and their future. Now this reminds me of the phrase, “One good deed deserves another.”

Our firstborn would have died! Njugush and wife relate scary pregnancy journey

Blessed Njugush and his wife Celestine “Wakavinye” Ndinda have a YouTube channel that they have been promoting wildly with exciting content this year.

It seems that the couple wants to dominate the media landscape not just in comedy but also as a pair that can be followed as far as celebrity lifestyle goes.

Just like Bahati and his wife or Kabi WaJesus and his wife, Ngugush and his wife have made a push to get their YouTube channel off the ground and into the ether.

The two recently revealed that they were pregnant with their second child. The news was met with glowing praise with many happy for the couple that is still proof of the merits and beauty of marriage.

And where else would they share glorious details about their pregnancy? Their YouTube page of course. This week the two spoke about the complications that came with their first pregnancy.

One of the most interesting things that resulted from the complications that they faced was that it was an inspiration for their son’s name.

According to the duo, it was always Ndinda’s wish to deliver her baby through normal delivery but that was not meant to be the case.

“I was at a friend’s house when Cele’s doctor called to say that I was needed in the hospital. I was in labour so badly and since the baby was tired, his heartbeat started to drop. I needed to go to CS,” said the Ndinda.

‘We were not ready to be parents’, Njugush and wife Celestine narrates how stressful it was to learn they were pregnant

She explained that the doctors hadn’t noticed that their son was not coming out because he had tied himself with the cord around his neck. “When they were doing the scan, the head appeared to be okay. They did not see the cord around his neck. The doctor discovered the cord during CS,” narrated Celestine.

The couple added that had they not had the CS they would most likely have lost the child. Their parents stood with them and spent time praying for the birth of their son in the hospital.

“When I woke up, the doctor said we were very lucky. I was very happy. I could have even called Tugi a miracle. It would have been a very painful story if we lost him. Tugi would have been called Jayden but since he went through a lot, his name is a Kikuyu word meaning grace,” said Njugush wife.

Blessed Njugush and wife Celestine announce second pregnancy

Blessed Njugush is one of the most conscientious of comedians that we have in Kenya. The man rarely is ever in controvserys and is a good testament for the industry that is currently dealing with a mud-slinging among some of its heavyweights.

One of the reasons I think he is able to keep his feet firmly on the ground is the people he has surrounded himself with-principally his ride or die, his wife Celestine “Wakavinye” Ndinda.

The pair have made great memories for fans over the years and have constantly shown the love for each other all through their marriage and even courtship.

Their young son gets to experience this love firsthand and shows what a great nuclear family can do for a child’s well-being.

‘It was awkward, thank God I was decent,’ Njugush wife Celestine narrates meeting in-laws

But it seems that the couple might be adding another to their brood. This was disclosed by Njugush and  Wakavinye on their respective social media pages. The news was met with overwhelming joy from their fans who congratulated the couple.

The pair have come far from a time in 2017 when they didn’t want to get a baby because they felt that they weren’t stable enough as none of them was working.

Speaking on their YouTube channel in the past, Njugush said they had to endure a lot as he pushed to make a name for himself in the industry.

They soon discovered they were pregnant which came as a complete surprise. Celestine revealed that she cried the whole night after she discovered that she was pregnant. Njugush also explained how bad the situation was for them at that moment;

“I was telling God, liwe liwalo. We even sold our TV. We used to cook ugali made of flour and potatoes. I was crying because I was so worried what we would give our baby.”

They explained that they even missed clinics as they did not have money for some tests that were required.

“As a man, I told God to come through. I used to sleep for the whole day. No food and her cravings were for food that was from outside,” Njugush said.

People think I don’t cook for Njugush and that’s why he’s skinny – Celestine cries

Njugush and Celestine Ndinda aka Wakavinye share a lot about their lives on social media, where they act out comedic skits that thrill many Kenyans.

Although the couple is at most times in lockstep, there are some issues that popped up when they were recently interviewed bu Dr. Ofweneke.

The couple who have been together for a solid 3 years has grown in leaps and bounds financially, fame and also have been blessed with a baby boy.

One thing that hasn’t changed unfortunately is Njugush’s body size which is still stick-thin which has led to assumptions that his wife doesn’t cook for him.

But none of that is true according to Wakavinye. In fact, she cooks, but Njugush is the one who fails to eat.

This guy doesn´t grow fat. Everywhere we go people are like, you don´t cook for your husband? But this guy does not eat. I cook, he doesn´t eat. He has not appetite. You see, everyone blames me.

To counter his lack of appetite, the funny man resorted to visiting the gym.

I went to the gym and added 5 kgs. My wife was going to the gym before I joined her. I realized it’s what you feel in the inside, you start having an appetite.

Njugush’s struggle to gain weight might be because he is an Ectomorph, which is one of the 3 body types.

An ectomorph tends to be long limbed and not particularly muscular. You can be “skinny fat,” meaning you’re a relatively low weight and/or small size yet still have high body fat.

Ectomorphs are the body type that is the most resistant to weight gain because of a fast metabolism. In other words, ectomorphs are often able to overeat while gaining little or even no weight.

People with this body type have little observable body fat, are only lightly muscled, and have a small frame (and joints).

Njugush and Wakavinye reveal the things they can’t stand about each other

Comedian Njugush and his wife Celestine Ndinda are very candid about their relationship, which is a mark of the closeness and maturity they have in their relationship.

Recently, the couple appeared on The Weekend Edition with Dr King’ori where they shared quite a lot. The two spoke about the evolution of their relationship with both of them working in the same industry.

While many were captivated by many of Njugush’s revelations Wakavinye (as his wife is affectionately known) had her fair bit to share about the father of her child.

Celestine spoke about the worst trait that she didn’t like about her man. And this one will shock you. Celestine admitted that the one thing that annoyed her about Njugush was that her husband always forgets to comb his hair despite the many times she reminds him.

“Nywele, unaona saa hii venye Inama….sa hii hatujachana nywele.”

The comic was not to be left out and complained about a pet peeve of his own, saying that Celestine also has a bad habit of switching on lights while he is still sleeping in the morning. “Kuwasha stima asubui kama mtu amelala na uendi mahali!”

Timothy Kimani aka Blessed Njugush is one of the Kenyan comedians who embody the value of hard work but also show that even in a country like Kenya, one’s talents can be rewarded.

The man recently spoke about his tough past and revealed some fascinating insights into the relationship he and his wife Celestine Ndinda aka Wakavinye have, especially where money is concerned.

He revealed that they don’t fight about money.

“When it comes to money, I’m so lucky to have broken that ice, cz most of the time when you work together or differently mnaandikiananga nani anapaswa kununua kiti ama kuleta chakula ya kuku. But in this case how it all started, yeye ndio alikua sponsor, yeye ndio alikua ananisort akiwa first year. “When I started making few coins yeye hakua anamake as much, however it was not hard for me, actually yeye ndio alikua incharge of my ATM, yeye ndio alikua anaoperate doo from hiyo time” he added.

The pair also revealed that their marriage hadn’t been perfect and that either of them has previously asked for a break but they have never left each other’s side.

“When you are married and umetulia, and you know a hundred percent ni huyu nikona yeye nataka kupata mtoi nayeye na umeoa theres no going back. If you truly love that person, you have differences even major ones but at the end of the day you’ll have a way to work around them” concluded Njugush.

Another Child? Njugush speaks about marriage and children (Exclusive)

Njugush spoke to me recently. The comedian has had a year brimming with success with his brand of conscientious and relatable comedy being absorbed by the masses.

The comedian is not a shrinking violet and speaks his mind. All the questions I asked him he answered, even the delicate one of Kriss Darlin controversially kneeling in front of Raila recently at a public function.

Njugush on stage

He said about Kriss Darlin’s antics;

His attention was on Raila but not on the people. If that is how he wants it, then so be it.

He also spoke about voting in 2017. He said that according to some he had wasted his vote. But for him, it was o.k as he believes that he should vote for the person who can best help the country.’ A lot needs to be done,’ he added.

The comedian also spoke about more personal issues when I asked him what he desired for the rest of the year. He said that he wanted happiness this year. ‘It has been a successful year but all I want is peace of mind, joy and happiness,’ Njugush said.

The comic said that all the success wasn’t as great without joy and peace accompanying it.  The ‘Blessed’ one also spoke about having more children with his wife Celestine.

According to the entertainer, the prospect of having another kid at the moment isn’t on his mind. The reason for that he said was that a child is hard work. ‘You can’t switch off an on when you are a parent. It is a lifetime journey,’ he said.

On marriage, he credits God as a big factor in its success. He said that his marriage takes a lot of work with sacrifices but it has been worth it for him.

Blessed Njugush kicked out of his home by wife Celestine

Njugush is in a spot of bother with his wife. Why? This past weekend he went to support his wife’s BFF, Neomi Nganga at the much publicised Miss Kenya Plus World 2019 at Garden City Mall.

But the result has been friction in his marriage as he was caught on camera (by his wife nonetheless) ogling at the beauties strutting on the runway. Not only that, he was seen screaming as he saw the curvy models stream by.

Njugush posted the video on his Instagram page saying;

When you are caught cheering a favourite in a #missplusworldkenya pageant 😭😭😭. keep me in your prayers guys.

The drama did not end on Instagram, or at Garden City, it carried on to their home as his wife he locked him out of the house that Saturday night.

Njugush had no option but to humbly ask his wife for forgiveness;

I am here to ask for forgiveness. mosquitos have really bitten me all night. and the boys club are laughing at me.

Trying to win her back, Njugush, of course, had to flatter her, talking about her beauty but Celestine was in no forgiving mood. She responded by telling him;

Stop distracting me away from the problem. what were you doing at a plus size event? And then what made you scream so loud at the event?

Njugush defended himself saying, he did not even notice the girls, his cheering was purely inspired by the splendour of the decor and the lights.

Some of his followers like Khaligraph Jones did not feel any sympathy for him and told Celestine not to relent with other posters taking Njugush’ side.
