How To Plan Your Anniversary

After years of being married many couples love to celebrate their anniversaries sometimes in small intimate gatherings, sometimes they like to celebrate and invite people.

If that is the case for you, here are tips of how you can go about it.

1. Set a date – Choose a date that is convenient for you and the guests that you want to invite. Make it so that it doesn’t become a hustle for people because a weekend to the schools opening day will not work for many parents. Find a day like a public holiday or Saturday afternoon/ evening and work with it.

2. Venue – Are you going to have the event at a hotel or at your house? Whichever you settle on, ensure that there will be space enough to accommodate your guests. You will want people to move freely and not be squeezed.

3. Guest list – For most people the invitees for this kind of event are only close members, plus to ensure that you don’t end up inviting the whole world it’s best to have  a list so that you know the number to budget for.

4. Invitation cards – In as much as it’s easier to text people, a card  has a personal touch and it’s highly unlikely that one would pass on the invite. It’s easy for someone to read an sms and forget, but the card will be there as a reminder.

5. Theme – You can create a fun theme for the event and make sure that as the host you are dressed accordingly. Just for fun you could fine guests who show up in attires that are not based on the theme.
