‘Sending me naughty videos won’t make you win,’ Kansime warns Kenyans

The host of East Africa Got Talent Anne Kansime has asked Kenyans to be professional when sending photos and videos showcasing their talent.

Speaking during an interview heard by Classic 105 Kansime said,

We are looking for a variety of acts. Just think outside the box and do something that the other person cannot do.

We have already done auditions in Mombasa, Uganda, Dar es Salaam and Kigali. We are looking to usher in new talent.

Kansime also advised Kenyans to be professional when sending videos of their talents.

We eliminated all excuses by allowing Kenyans to be able to send us a one minute video via WhatApp. And please put on some clothes and stop sending us pictures and videos of your private parts. This is not my M-Pesa number so do not send me any money either.

Kansime adds that people should not assume friendship with her guarantees them an automatic win.

All we want to see is your talent. Don’t look for me because I am just a host and nothing you will do for me will make you win.

In conclusion, Kansime said,

‘I rushed into marriage’ Anne Kansime talks about her past marriage

Anne Kansime is a force to reckon with in the world of comedy.

The Ugandan comedian has in an interview opened up about her failed marriage.

Speaking during an interview heard by Classic 105 Kansime says

Life happened I had a plan on how I wanted my life to go. I wanted to study graduate, get a job, find a man and eventually settle down.

I managed to do that I graduated, found a job and met a man and I thought everything was in order.

I rushed into the marriage. It was actually not a white wedding but a traditional one.

We had marked the dates but they kept being pushed until I started questioning myself.

Kansime added that contrary to rumors her marriage did not break because of infidelity.

There was no infidelity in my marriage on my part. On his part unless we call him to your studios so that he can tell you because I do not know.

I was in the limelight before we got married so I do not think that is something that contributed to our break up.

Ugandan comedian Anne Kansime has in an interview heard by Classic 105 revealed some of the worst comments people said about her.

Kansime debunked the conjecture in the lengthy radio interview.

She confesses that people out rightly accused her of sacrificing her chance at motherhood for fame.

Some people were trying to wonder why I did not have kids with my ex husband Gerald.

She adds that despite the fact that it was all lies, (she has her uterus intact. Her only issue is that she had no way of proving it to her critics.

So they said I had sold my uterus in exchange for fame.

The sad thing is that it was not true but I had no way of proving myself because there is no way you can just show people your uterus is intact.

Referred to by many as the ‘Queen of Africa Comedy’, Anne Kansiime is a Ugandan comedian  entertainer and actress. She first broke into the scene with the YouTube Series, Minibuzz, in which she made fun of Ugandans’ experience in daily public transport.

Her stand-up shows have sold out arenas and auditoriums in major cities including London, Kuala Lumpur, Lilongwe, Gaborone and Harare. With more than 15 million views online and a YouTube silver play button.

It has a viewership of over 11 million and is the highest rated East African programme.

7. Michael Blackson



Michael Blackson is a Ghanaian who is well-known for his dry jokes which are always good enough to make his audience reeling in laughter. He is actually the oldest of all the comedians in this list: he was born in November 1972. He is popularly known as the African King of Comedy. He got his inspiration from the comedy of Eddie Murphy.

8. Emmanuella Samuel


The Nigerian comedian/actress is one of the special talents under the mark angel comedy cooperation.

In 2016, she was awarded the Best New Comedian and Princess of Comedy at the Afro-Australia Music and Movie Awards in Australia. She is also the first African to have one million subscribers on her YouTube comedy channel.
