‘Getting saved is something I had postponed for years’ Confesses Amani

Gospel artiste Amani has revealed that she has had to turn down lucrative shows since she got saved more than two years ago.

Amani who was well known for her secular songs ‘Bad Boy’, ‘Tonight’ and ‘My Baby’ explained,

Getting saved was a personal decision. My personal decision affected my career. If I was a nurse or an engineer my personal decision to get saved would not affect my music.

Amani adds,

Getting saved is something I had postponed for sometime and I have no regrets.

Amani adds that she is glad she made the decision to become a Christian and to grow a better relationship with God and those around her.

I get promoters asking me to perform secular songs. This is despite the fact that I am now a gospel artiste but I turn them down because I have to be firm in my decision.

Amani also admits that she intentionally kept news of her getting saved away from the limelight until she felt the time was right.

When I got saved, people found out after two years. I even went back to a bible school to refresh my knowledge on Jesus.

The singer continued,

I turned down shows after getting saved. Funny enough I do not regret not performing my old songs.

Gospel artiste Cecilia Wairimu aka Amani releases her first gospel song

Gospel singer Cecilia Wairimu aka Amani has officially released her first gospel song, months after ditching the secular world, which surprised many of us.

During an interview with Mpasho, Amani opened up on her new move saying

There was nothing particular that happened to me to be born again, but it’s just that I got tired. I would feel like I would be somewhere, sit down at home without travelling like I used to do before being in a music concert or even performing, then I asked myself what could be the problem.“It’s when I realized there was something I needed to change in my life. I started searching why am I not feeling the same anymore, and its when I realized that my heart was not there anymore.”

When asked what drove her to take the righteous path, she said,

“Well, it was basically a personal decision to follow Christ. Two years ago, I felt I am actually done with the whole industry and basically my own life, and I felt yeah, I need to turn over a new leaf.”

She went on to add,

“I decided to be quiet about it, for one because, once you get saved, the transition is not overnight. You have to go through your old transformation and get new habits and form new ones. I also wanted to get to a point where I would be comfortable about talking about it and a point where I felt like I had gotten to a new lifestyle, though each day God is working on you with different stuff. So when I felt I was comfortable talking about it, is when I did.”

She joins the list of secular artistes who have turned a new life including Size 8 Reborn and Wahu who had made great names in the secular market with their songs.

Amani is born to a christian family given the fact that her mother is a pastor.

Here is the video of her new gospel song ‘Jina Lake’

Citizen TV’s Kanze Dena is one proud mother who doesn’t shy away from sharing her family life with her adoring fans on social media.

The beautiful TV siren wowed her followers when she took to Instagram to share a list of conditions which her son, Amani laid down to her as he turned twelve years old.

As every teen growing up, there are things that our parents do out of love and care but back then we used to find them annoying or ’embarrassing’ since we thought we had outgrown them. For Amani, nothing is different.

According to Dena, her son woke up all excited after turning 12 and as a pre teen, he did not feel the need of being hugged severally, his mom being in control of his wardrobe as well as he no longer saw the need of being called baba or baby.

Check Out The Latest Hair Styles You Should Be Rocking In 2017

Fashion is here to stay!

It’s often said that mwanamke ni Urembo and Kenyan women have not been left behind when it comes to rocking the latest hair styles. Our favorite female celebrities can often be found with the hairstyles below. From Elani’s Maureen Kunga, to singer Amani, and Gospel TV host Kambua, there is enough inspiration to get you to the nearest salon.

Below are some of the latest hair styles

1.  Faux Locks

This seems to be the hottest  hair style in the market, although a little painful when getting it done. It’s worth all the trouble as proven by our own female musician Amani.

2 . Short Dyed Hair

Short hair seems to be making a come back. Back in the days having short hair used to be the “bomb” but was overtaken by weaves and wigs. Short does not have to be boring as proven by these ladies. More local female celebrities among them female rapper STL, and Olive Karmen show us how to gracefully rock short hair.

3.  Natural Hair Crocheting

If you’ve got it then flaunt it, natural hair crocheting is a nice way of giving yourself a break from all the weaves and wigs. It is best suited for people who want to maintain their natural hair without looking shaggy. Maureen Kunga (above) shows us how to flaunt natural hair crotchet

4.  Dread locks

Long gone are the days where people with dread locks were looked down upon. Dread locks have been accepted even at the work place. They are uni-sex and are now rocked by both men and women. Unlike braiding, dreadlocks require very little maintenance and is pocket friendly since you do not have to  go to the salon often.

5. Corn rows

If you haven’t had these then you are missing out. Corn rows are the next big thing as the braids tsunami takes over Kenya. They are famous among the youth, and are easy to fix and can be worn both in official and casual setting. They are a saving grace to many women.

6.  Box Braids

Out with the old and in with the new. Long gone are the days where one had to painfully stick to a uniform way of making braids, all thanks to box braids. Box braids is the latest trend in spicing up your hair.

7.  Lace weaves

Wanna spice up your weave? Lace weave is the way to go. This weave is made to suit the young and the old depending on ones personal taste. The good thing is that the weave comes in different colours and frontal lace sizes (long /short).

If you are planning on visiting a salon maybe you should consider this hair style because it won’t disappoint.

She’s Done With The Gossip! Kenyan Singer Amani Denies Pregnancy Rumours

WCW: Musician Amani

Amani is now currently dating a Nigerian man and the two seem to very happy and at a good place. And though she rarely shares photos of them together, I can confirm that they are still going strong.

There has been speculation that Amani is pregnant after she was pictured during a recent event, The Plot, wearing an outfit that appeared to suggest the singer was pregnant. The outfit, comprising a blown up dress top and shorts, got people talking as her belly was covered but seemed pregnant.

See below and be the judge;

Amani Singer

The Kizungu Zungu hitmaker has had enough of the pregnancy rumours and decided to finally talk about it. In an interview with SDE, she denied being preggers, saying that she’s irritated about people making up stories without valid proof.

“This should be the last time I am answering this questions which for some reason continues to be misunderstood and it somewhat irritates me. I want to categorically state that I am not expectant as suggested by a section of gossipers who are seemingly known to meddle into other people’s affairs and obviously talented at telling if a woman is pregnant or not just by looking at her,” ranted Amani.
