Snoop Dogg is no stranger to attempting new things in his life. The man who is best known for his career as a rap superstar has shown an affinity for trying his hand at things that most sane men would avoid. He puts the saying a jack of all trades but a master of none to the test.
The man has evolved with the times, first by embracing the different changes in the rap music, always trying to stay relevant, just like another chameleon, Madonna. He then tried his hand at making reggae music even changing his moniker to Snoop Lion, when he did his album Reincarnated.
But that was not to be the last time we saw him veer into unfamiliar waters. He did it again by venturing into hosting a cooking show! The show was called the Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party which started airing on November 7, 2016. What are a weed aficionado and a convicted felon doing hosting a show about cooking? And you think you had seen it all? Huh?
But Snoop isn’t done yet! What? He has now revealed that he intends to make new music that will be gospel-themed. During an interview with Billboard, Snoop (real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr) said:
“I have always wanted to try Gospel. This may surprise some people but all I gotta say is get ready for some good for your soul music in 2018! Ya know I’m always cookin’ up something. I’ll have some new projects for y’all in the New Year.”
Wonders will never cease!
