Well embarrassing as it may be especially for Wealthy Kenyans and the ‘middle class’ carrying empty jerry cans in the boot of the car, is now more like a necessity and it is a saving grace for many after their cars stalled in the middle of the road.

The government recently gave the go ahead for the implementation of the 16 per cent Value Added Tax (VAT) levied on fuel which has increased the cost of fuel.
