World Cup ‘we are one’ anthem singer, Jennifer Lopez is “grateful” after a scary moment at the weekend. The singer, 45, and pal Leah Remini were involved in a car accident with a drunk driver but thankfully everyone came out of the collision unharmed. J. Lo opened up about the scare in a photo she shared via Instagram on Saturday, Sept. 27. The image showed Lopez in a car next to Remini, 44, who was sitting in the driver’s seat.
“Sitting at a light, Riding high right before some drunk fool rear ended us in my new whip!!!” Lopez captioned the shot. “Thank god everyone’s ok!!! #GRATEFUL #THANKYOUGOD #DontdrinkandDrive!!!! #cursedthatfoolout #theBronxcameout #dontmesswithmycocnuts #mamabear #leahstayedcalm #thatwasweird.”
According to TMZ, the stars were rear-ended by the intoxicated driver when they were stopped at a red light on Malibu’s Pacific Coast Highway. With two children in the backseat of the vehicle, Lopez’s car was hit at the light.
TMZ reports that the driver sped off from the scene, but was later found and reprimanded by police, who determined that he had been drinking. The suspect is reportedly facing DUI and hit-and-run charges.
