Kambua lost her second born child in February.

According to Kambua, the music, which dropped on YouTube yesterday evening comes from a place of sorrow and gratitude.

“Shukrani is a song birthed out of great pain and deep gratitude. Knowing that both can coexist- our current struggles and the acknowledgement that God remains good for all He has done. God promises to comfort and be with us even in the valley of sorrow. So as he comforts and lifts me, may He do the same for you. He is out great and exceeding compensation! A good, good father,” she wrote.

Before the song was released, she took too all her social media pages to thank all her fans for standing by her in prayers.
