Are today's men less empowered? Mike asks

A new report by the National Council for Population and Development (NCPD) shows that men constitute more than half of the homeless population in Kenya

In today's morning show, Mike Mondo and Mwalimu King'ang'i discussed men's empowerment in society.

A new report by the National Council for Population and Development (NCPD) shows that men constitute more than half of the homeless population in Kenya, according to one of our local dailies.

Mike then remarked, "Out of 10 homeless people, eight are men. Are men today less empowered?"

Listeners engaged with various perspectives. Some are below:

254memer: "As long as men in positions of power are driven by desires, they will hire underqualified women, leaving qualified men on the streets."

John OT Josh: "Who do those men expect to empower them? Women are empowered by men, but a man must empower himself first or perish. Your father, brother, and friends will come later after they notice something in you."

Jennifer Kanyiri: "It all depends on how a man handles his life. He must be responsible and mindful of his future, or life will teach him harsh lessons."

John BiEn: "No. Some of those homeless guys are NIS and CIA gathering intelligence. Some are richer than you."
