Maina Kageni discussed the dilemma men have nowdays of deciding to pay or not paying dowry.
He revealed on the morning conversation that some of his friends are hesitant to do so.
"I spoke to two guys over the weekend one of them has a 2 year old and said that he will pay dowry when the child is form three and his partner does not know that," he said.
He went on to ask ladies whether they know that their men don't want to pay that dowry because they will be tied down to you
" So that man you are living with, have they ever met your parents? Has he paid for your bride price? How has he shown that he is committed?"
Check out fans' reactions;
Jennifer Kanyiri: If the man you're living with doesn't want to put effort in meeting your parents and at least pay something small as dowry to start with if he's isn't well financially, it's a fact he's not fully committed to being married to you,,so be on the lookout
Mags: Some will pay and cheat like nothing ever happened.
Lobewolf: Paying dowry is one of the things a man should never be in rush to do,simply because it's costly and there's no return incase things don't work,nowadays ladies have changed and there's no guarantee she'll be with you forever,some can divorce u anytime, that man is right and wise
Kanyambu Lisa: They just want to waste our time, no more settling fr less, it's so disturbing Maina
Expectations Manager: It might not apply to everyone, but where I come from it might be tricky. Especially if the kid is a boy. You can’t circumcise him without maternal uncle’s approval. Culturally you can’t approach him na ‘Bibi wa deni’
