Maina Kageni

A man in Kakamega is in shock after his wife got pregnant despite having undergone a vasectomy procedure.

The man said he had decided to undergo the procedure after they had three children and were content with the number.

Well, in the morning conversation, Maina Kageni discussed the responsibility of family planning being put on a woman.

"Do we understand the responsibility we put on women? For you, this would be a simple procedure but do you know what those things do to women?" Asked Maina

Mwalimu King'ang' disagreed "Why would you stop having babies? Ukienda mbinguni utasema ulifunga pipe kwanini? The bible says tujaze dunia na kila mtoto hukuja na sahani yake."

A caller said "Vasectomy only works when you tell your wife. Failure to tell her, research shows she will continue giving birth to healthy children.

So, why do Kenyan men fear vasectomy? And do we understand why it's important?
