During the morning conversation, Maina and King'ang'i discussed why critics are hating on Akothee's wedding.
Maina wondered why Kenyans couldn't be happy for Akothee now that she has found love.
He wondered if it was because she was 40, had been married before, had five children, had money, or had the body of a 21-year-old.
"Can't we be happy for someone is it because she is 40 or she is been married before and it didn't work is it because she got five kids, isn't she got a fine body like a 21-year-old, or is it because she has money," Maina Kageni wondered.
In agreement with him, Mwalimu King'ang'i stated that this is how people interfere with people's marriages.
"Unajua hivo ndio wanaingililianga marriages za watu. Ah huyo hamfanani," Mwalimu King'ang'i concurred.
Maina asked his audience why they couldn't be happy for her.
"Why can't we be happy for her? Mbona mnahate?," Maina asked
One caller claimed that people are just envious of her.
Caller: Naona watu wakona wivu sana.
Maina asked her why she thought so.

The caller claimed that although they can't even marry her, they don't want her to get married.
Caller: Hawataki aolewe na hawewezi kumuoa.
Another caller said that if it were up to her, she could not be married because Akothee already has her money in place as marriage would limit her independence due to its many restrictions.
She does not want to live with a man under one roof and only approves of a relationship that is not bounded by marriage.
Caller: If it was me with that money at this age I wouldn't get married. Sasa ataanaza kuulizwa umetoka wapi. She has lost her freedom. Hauataki ule wa kukaa na yeye nyumba moja, akuje akienda.
