Maina astounded at how teachers disrespect parents on school WhatsApp groups

In the morning Maina and King'ang'i had a discussion about the toxicity in school WhatsApp groups between teachers and parents.

Maina stated that many parents are complaining about how teachers are rude to parents despite the fact that they pay what is required of them in schools.

"A lot of parents have complained of how rude the teachers are," Maina disclosed.

However, Mwalimu King'ang'i claimed that some parents lack manners much like their children and that in his experience as a teacher he interacted with children who are rude and don't treat anyone with any respect.

"Hawa watoto hawana adabu just like their parents and I am speaking as a teacher today. We spend so much time with these kids we know their behaviors. Heshima hakuna!" Mwalimu King'ang'i declared.

Maina then questioned teachers about why they do not respect parents. He also asked the parents why they tolerate such behavior.

 "Teachers, why don't you respect parents. And parents why do you put up with this behaviour?" Maina asked. 

According to one caller, parents have failed in their responsibility to parent their children and when the ship sinks they blame the teachers. 

He added that most kids imitate and learn from what their parents do.

Caller: Parents can fail in their responsibility and expect teachers to do their parenting roles, then they start a blame game. Most children are just a chip off the old block.

Another caller stated that he is a teacher and has witnessed the level of irresponsibility displayed by parents. Some parents send their daughters to school without shopping and others do not even send bus fare to their children on school breaks.
