In the morning Maina and King'ang'i had a conversation on why people have abandoned childhood dreams.
According to Maina, it appears that people's aspirations of pursuing their passions were crashed.
"It seems like all of our dreams got derailed people who wanted to be neurosurgeons, pilots, and doctors what happened," Maina said.
Maina explained how important dreams are and how it is never too late to pursue them. He described how he went to the United Kingdom to study law but lost track and did not complete his course.
"Dreams are very important and it's never too late to pursue them. I went to the UK to study law and I messed up bigtime. Nikafanya vitu zingine huko!" Maina said.
Mwalimu King'ang'i bluffed about him going there and splashing out all of his school fees.
"Ukakula school fees yote, but you know Maina you're a gift to Kenya do they know how you stumbled upon radio, "Mwalimu King'ang'i said.
Maina then asked his audience to share their stories about what happened to their dreams and what they aspired to be.
"What happened to your dream? And what did you want to be?" Maina asked.
A caller stated that he wanted to be a pilot but the school fees was prohibitively expensive so he had to settle for a cabin crew course. He felt that he had lived close to his dream by traveling around the world.
Caller: I wanted to be a pilot but it was extremely expensive but I ended up being a cabin crew. I lived close to my dream. I have travelled and seen the world.
Another caller expressed how she aspired to be a journalist because she was influenced by the people she heard and watched every day as a child.
Unfortunately, she ended up in the nursing profession but she says her dreams are still valid as she plans to pursue journalism at the postgraduate level.
Caller: I dreamt of being a journalist. And this was inspired by the fact that these were the people we'd hear and watch every day. It's not too late. I'm a nurse by profession and Journalism is the course I'm taking at my masters level.
