During the morning conversation, Maina and King'ang'i had a discussion on why women find it difficult to leave a bad marriage.

This was prompted by a woman who called in yesterday and said she has been in a toxic marriage for twelve years because she is afraid of what will happen if she leaves.

Maina urged women not to stay in toxic marriages for the sake of their children as co-parenting can still work.

Mwalimu King'ang'i, on the other hand, questioned the reason why mothers would leave their children in a marriage with their husbands.

"Ladies, why should you leave your children as a mother?" Mwalimu King'ang'i.

Maina told King'ang'i that he should not crucify people for starting over and that a woman is entitled to live a happy and good life.

"You’ll not crucify people here as they start fresh. Who said that the woman is not entitled to living a good life," Maina said.

Mwalimu King'ang'i responded by saying that men cannot raise children to the standards of a mother.

"Wababa we cannot bring up children as women can," Mwalimu King'ang'i said.

Maina then asked the audience to share their story about why they find it difficult to leave a toxic marriage.

"What is it so hard to leave a bad marriage?" Maina asked.

Caller: Sasa Maina unatoka uende wapi! Na hio ni phase mpya ya life umeanza. Si ata mtoto msumbufu  kwa familia huwa anakua disciplined to rekebisha tabia.

Check out what people had to say on social media:

Mercy Chemtai Most women give children as an excuse but we all know there is more to that. But sincerely no one deserves to stay in a bad relationship women/men. Leave as soon as you can even if it’s after 50yrs.

Future Smile Maina unaskia mwanamke anajenga na anaeza pomoa Tena so actually what I will tell to that lady to be a patient and trust the process and everything gonna be alright.

Stanley Waweru  It's better to stay there than out there in the streets, streets are more worse than that marriage or relationship you're talking about

Ricky Ti Cruz   You are happy leaving your man stranded thinking that you will enjoy life, Mungu ni main, you end up in a relationship with Kamzee mwenye ameajwa na Bibi yake pia, sasa anakutesa in promax way.

DennisShimenga Bad marriage is a no for me, but the woman should take custody of kids until they are of reasonable age. The man should provide for his kids but in custody of the woman. Unless the woman is unethical.
