Remembering Bruce Odhiambo: Maina Kageni’s emotional tribute at memorial service

A mass to celebrate the life of the late Bruce Odhiambo took place Thursday at the Nairobi Baptist Church.

Tributes from Kenyan  celebrities were read as the crowd held back tears.

The leading tribute was from President Kenyatta who eulogized Bruce. The two were classmates.

Classic 105’s Maina said;

Big man with a big heart. A gentle giant who loved people. A legend and pioneer. Thank you for all your influence. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for everything.’

Legends in the industry such as Maurice Oyando, DS Njoroge, Suzanne Gachukia attended the memorial service.

Here are more eulogies from Kenyan celebrities.

Daddy Owen said;

We were friends for many years, you inspired me to register my first company. Telling me how I should invest and the industry works. We respected each other as true friends. We love you bro.

With our love and deepest sympathy as we remember Bruce Odhiambo. Rest in peace.

The late Bruce leaves behind his two children, daughter Simone and son Laboriel. He also has a grandson Ethan.

The former Youth and Enterprises Development boss died at the Nairobi Hospital after a long battle with cardiac ailments.

In 2018 October, Odhiambo went to India to replace his pacemaker that had been implanted under the skin to help manage irregular heartbeats.

He returned to Kenya in November but his body developed more complications that led to his admission to hospital.
