During Maina Kageni and Mwalimu King'ang'i's show - two ladies called in saying they regret getting married.

One is married to an HIV+ man and the other one got married to a man she loved but not a man who loves her.

Maina and King'ang'i discussed the topic of why women stay in toxic relationships or marriages instead of walking away.

They advised ladies by telling them, ''Ladies if you are not happy walk away,".

Maina questions the listeners, ''What makes you stay in some places? And please don't tell me it's because of the kids because you can always co-parent. Ladies, why do you stay if you are not happy?''

This is what they responded;

Jennifer Kanyiri Some ladies fear the societal stigma of being labelled divorced, forgetting it's better to be a divorcee but live happily and peacefully too than be in an abusive marriage.

Vanessa8566 There's always the question"What will people say? Will I find someone to love me truly and take in my kids as his own? Am I deserving of love /companionship if I can't maintain this one?" Among others that make women stay.

Karumba Most stay just for entitlement and fear of what the society will say.
