Amber Ray clears the air on claims they were evicted from 270k/month apartment

Popular Kenyan socialite Faith Makau aka Amber Ray has dismissed claims that she and Kennedy Rapudo split up because they could no longer afford to pay the rent on their five-bedroom Kilimani house.

In a statement on her Instagram page on Tuesday, the mother of two made it clear that she and Rapudo separated because of their differences.

She pointed out that paying the rent on their rented house was never a problem and explained that they both moved out because they were not living together as a big family.

“Ken and I separated because of our differences, not because we couldn't maintain our home. And it certainly wasn't looking for kiki. I don't like looking for kiki, especially not for very personal things.

Although many people are aware of what happened, it is still a personal matter and it is one that is being resolved," Amber Ray said.

She added, "Rent was never an issue. I moved out in the middle of the month, and Ken moved out shortly after. It wouldn't make sense for him to live in a 5-bedroom house by himself."

The beauty made it clear that they were not evicted from their home and also revealed that they did not owe rent they were leaving.

In addition, she revealed that the rent of their new houses combined is higher than the amount they were paying in the house they were living together.

"I'm not trying to defend myself, but I don't want to ruin my reputation with fake news online. And with all due respect, people should mind their own business," he said.

The mother of two took the opportunity to ask people to support those going through challenges like her instead of attacking them online.
