Zari Hassan, the Ugandan socialite and Shakib Cham will exchange vows on October 3. The couple's admirers are thrilled after an invitation to their wedding in South Africa leaked online.

The card's white and gold text reads:

"Are you invited? Zarina Hassan and Shakib Luutaya cordially invite you to share in the joy and celebration of their wedding day."

The leaked card blocks out the venue but indicates the wedding will be held at 12 p.m.

"Your presence on this special day would make our celebration truly unforgettable," signed off with the names Zari and Shakib in gold.

Shakib ‘Cham’ Lutaaya and Zari officially started dating in 2022.

After holding a Nikah ceremony in May, Zari Hassan clarified rumours that she met Shakib while he was working as a watchman for her late husband Ivan Ssemwanga.

She acknowledged that she dated Shakib for a very long time before they split up and then got back together in 2022.

Since then, she has referred to him as "her first official husband" because he was the only man courageous and bold enough to wed her.

At the customary wedding, Zari, 42, responded to snide remarks that she was past her prime.

She rebuked online commenters, saying that as long as a couple is at ease with one another, they can get married at any age they choose.

This wedding date comes five months after their traditional ceremony called the Nikah.

The nikah was held in April this year after Shakib revealed the details of how he gave an engagement ring to Zari on Sunday 16th April 2023.

Both Zari and Lutaaya shared videos of themselves seated together wearing Muslim attire.

The couple was surrounded by elderly Muslim men and women showing how much respect was put to this ceremony.
