Zari finally explains why hubby looks miserable in public

Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan has answered questions about why her husband Shakib Cham Lutaaya seems unhappy most of the time in public.

Diamond Platnumz's co-parent had to explain her husband's appearance in public after some netizens noticed his sad face in his recent post.

"But your husband is not happy, why?" one Instagram user asked him. In her response, the mother of five pointed out that Shakib Lutaaya only laughs when necessary.

"He doesn't laugh for no reason, if you don't see the picture where he laughs then try again," she said.

Another fan asked her, "Why is Shakib always brooding?" Zari without hesitation answered, "He doesn't laugh like a mad man."

The 42-year-old socialite also defended her husband by explaining that, "He says a lot."

Despite being older than him, Zari has often shown a lot of love and respect for her 31-year-old husband.

Earlier this month, Zari hinted that she dated Shakib before venturing into marriage with the Bongofleva star.

In an interview with journalists in Uganda, the mother of five confirmed to journalists that she has known the 31-year-old man for several years now.

She admitted that she and Shakib dated a few years back before breaking up and getting back together last year.  

"I dated Shakib in the past and then we went our separate ways. I don't know how we met again," Zari said.

She added that it was not difficult to reconnect with Shakib and marry him in April because they had been in a romantic relationship in the past.

"One year after we reconciled, he said I will make you my wife. That's all. We didn't talk for a while, then suddenly one year after we reconciled, we got married.  If it's not God, what should we call that?" he questioned.

Zari reunited with Shakib early last year after breaking up with Ugandan businessman GK Choppa.

They kept their relationship a secret until the middle of last year when they revealed that they were dating.
