Vanessa Mdee and Rotimi still haven't done family introductions

Vanessa Mdee and Rotimi visited Tanzanian once since they started dating and living together. Mdee recently welcomed a second child named Imani which translates to 'Faith' in English.

Mdee and Rotimi are yet to make an official family introduction even though the two got engaged about two years ago.

Speaking to journalists, Vanessa's sister Mimi Mars said;

"They had planned to come to see our family but then Vanessa got pregnant and they paused their plan for a while."

She added Rotimi speaks to the Mdee family on phone.

"Our mother is okay, they chat and talk on video call, they are friends. There are challenges here and there and that's why our mother hasn't gone to see them and vise versa. But this might happen next year as well."

On why Vanessa settled for the name Imani, Mars said;

"People name kids the way they want the world to see them. We are a very religious family, so the name fit. I feel like it's something she was going through while pregnant and everyone has their own reasons."

Meanwhile, Mimi Mars was rumoured to be dating Diamond Platnumz after the WCB singer flaunted a video enjoying a good moment with her at a swimming pool in his mansion.

She denied the rumours.

"Mwenye Macho ameona mwenye masikio amesikia. Wanaonijua wanaelewa. Ni Kazi. Ni jambo amablo haliwezi kutokea"

(The one with eyes has seen and the one with ears has heard. Those people who know me, Understand what's happening. Me being with Diamond is something that cannot happen.)

Mars once said that she was tired of dating Tanzanian men.
