CORD leader Hon Raila Odinga and Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya will not press charges against the man who attacked them during a rally in Kwale over the weekend.
A statement sent to newsrooms by Odinga’s spokesperson Dennis Onyango said the two leaders will not file P3 forms that the prosecution requires to proceed with assault charges against Mr Lengo Karisa Mudzomba.
The statement further said that Governor Mvurya will seek out Mudzomba to understand his problems and motives.
Mudzomba interrupted a CORD rally in kwale when he struck the two leaders with a stick as they danced.
He was immediately arrested and ;later interrogated by police who were hoping to present him before court once the two leaders press charges.
