Renowned local showbiz reggae emcee John Maina, popularly known as MC Fullstop, is lucky to be alive.
The versatile emcee almost lost his life due to alcohol addiction back in 2015. MC Fullstop’s health deteriorated forcing him to shave his dreadlocks, a trademark he had spotted for most of his life.
“JUST IN CASE YOU THOUGHT I WAS ON VACATION! FROM HELL AND BACK! ALL I WANTED IS MY HEALTH SIO NYWELE! I NEVER BELIEVED IN MIRACLES, NOW I DO. GOD IS GOOD,” he posted on Instagram accompanied by the photo below.
Rumours circulated for the better part of 2015 that MC Fullstop was suffering from HIV/Aids but he came out to rubbish the claims.
“I AM NOT HIV POSITIVE AS PEOPLE CLAIM; I HAD LIVER PROBLEMS THAT KNOCKED ME OUT DUE TO ALCOHOL-RELATED PROBLEMS. YOUTHS, AVOID ALCOHOL, ALCOHOL IS BAD, LET NO ONE CHEAT YOU… THE DISEASE CONSUMED ALL MY SAVINGS MPAKA NIKARUDI SHAGZ…” REGGAE MC FULLSTOP SAYS DURING AN INTERVIEW ON K24 TV.
MC Fullstop has fully recovered and he currently hosts Riddim Vybz program on K24. Well, the veteran showbiz emcee recently took to social media to warn the younger generation against alcohol consumption, while sharing old photos of himself admitted in hospital just to drive his point home.
