Rwandan president is a proud man. Not just because the country he heads is a beacon of hope in Africa, but also his very very tall daughter, has tied the knot with a man that she loves.
Ange Kagame, Paul Kagame’s only daughter, walked down the aisle with the love of her life, Bertrand Ndengeyingoma, on Saturday, July 6.
The couple, who look like they might just raise an NBA team with their collective tall genes that they have, were all smiles. The private wedding ceremony was held at the Intare Conference Arena in Kabuga town, Rwanda and attended by invited guests who included family members and close friends.
According to reports from Rwanda, the ceremony was so private that the only initial photos that found their way into the interwebs, appeared to have been taken by drones.
This ceremony comes just months after the two lovers exchanged marital vows in a civil wedding held at Kigali City Council offices. A civil wedding is a non-religious, legal marriage ceremony presided over by an authorised government official.
The colourful but secret wedding excited countless Rwandese who thronged social media platforms with endless congratulatory messages.
Ange is one lucky woman as she has married a man that most likely checks all her boxes; He is tall, rich, handsome and accomplished academically.
Bertrand holds a Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the London School of Economics.
Ange, on the other hand, is a political science graduate from Massachusetts’ Smith College.
