A man accused of murdering his girlfriend and the daughter in Naivasha is fighting for his life in hospital after members of the public descended on him.
The middle aged suspect was cornered by residents of Mai Mahiu just a day after the decomposing bodies were found in their house near Kia Ndege village in the lakeside town.
The bodies of the two were found locked in their house by neighbors, after a foul smell drew their attention, before police moved in and broke into the one roomed house.
This came as details emerged that the man was on a revenge mission after the woman allegedly infected him with HIV last year.
According to a close family member of the deceased, the suspect had accused the woman of infecting him with the disease and had vowed to revenge.
The kin, who declined to be named, said that man was last seen leaving the house last week before locking it from the outside, only for the bodies to be discovered five days later.
He added that they were still in darkness over the motive of murdering them adding that they were waiting for a police report.
“The information we are getting is that the man raped the two with a view of also infecting the daughter with HIV for the sins of the mother.
The suspect was rescued by police after residents of Mai Mahiu where he had been hiding attacked him seriously injuring him,”
