Joseph Shabalala, the founder and musical director of the South African choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo has died.
Classic 105’s Maina Kageni joined millions of fans in mourning the passing of the founder of the award winning music group.

The Grammy award winning group founder died at a Pretoria hospital at the age of 78.
One fan described him as a humble man whose talents amplified the South African cultural and artistic voice.
Another mourner remembered him as one of those who earned Africa respect globally and made a unique SA contribution to the world’s music album.
Another wrote that he deserved every accolade he received.
