US pop legend Madonna is one of the most recognisable people in the world. The musician who has adopted a child from the African continent has been touring Malawi (where she opened a dance academy in Malawi for children who want to pursue arts) and then to Kenya.
The 62-year-old music star who has six children; 24-year-old Lourdes, 20-year-old Rocco, 15-year-old David Banda, 14-year-old Mercy James and eight-year-old twins, Estere and Stella, was in Kenya this pas weekend where she visited Samburu county.
The “Like a virgin” singer informed her 15 million followers of this new development on her Instagram page. Her caption read,
Spending time with the Samburu tribe is always an honor, “They are nomadic warriors and here the men are singing, dancing and telling stories to attract the attention of the females. 🇰🇪 ♥️”
The legendary musician added that she had also been touring Baringo where she saw the Pokoto tribe, “Visiting the Pokot Tribe in the Baringo Valley, was a special moment for all of us. They invited us to dance with them and shared their daily prayer of thanks. 🇰🇪 #pokot #kenya”
Madonna isn’t the only celeb who has visited the country in the past few weeks. Supermodel Naomi Campbell is was in Kenya on a private get-away in Malindi, Kilifi County in mid-December 2020.
The 50-year-old English model, actress, activist and businesswoman arrived via a private jet telling reporters, “…People should not shy away from visiting Kenya. Life in Kenya is natural and beautiful,” she said at the time.
