When Winrose Muchiori walked down the aisle at 21 to say ‘I Do’ to the love of her life, she never pictured herself being a widow, but fate had its own plans for her.
She never got to enjoy her marriage as her husband sadly passed away only six months after their honey moon. Narrating her story she says
“That night, my late husband, John Kamau was attending a kesha. In fact, I was supposed to accompany him, but for some strange reasons, I wasn’t feeling well.
I had this bad feeling and I told him I couldn’t manage. At around midnight, I received a call from a strange number informing me that my husband and his friend had been involved in an accident and unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.”
“I thought it was a bad dream. I remember losing consciousness and woke up the following day in a hospital bed. My sister rushed me to the hospital.
My husband was the sole breadwinner and this left me in a lot of financial mess. Luckily, my church helped me for six months. They gave me food and other essentials.”
She goes on to reveal that she later got remarried to a man she believes was God sent for his love and support at the lowest moment of her life.
“God sent Reverend Simon Muchiri of Word Manifestation Ministries (WOMA), Limuru into my life. He really supported me when I was mourning my husband. He had divorced his wife and when he proposed to me, I said yes.
He is a caring man. I adore him. He took me to college and I graduated to become a high school teacher. I retired from teaching in 2015.
I also went through a theology school, graduated with a post-graduate diploma in theology and currently, teach at Nairobi Pentecostal Bible College on a part-time basis.”
