After attending college in the United States, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in film and theatre studies from Hampshire College, Lupita began her Hollywood career as a production assistant.

Her career continued to soar with the role of Nakia in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Black Panther (2018) and its sequel.

She also starred in the horror films Us (2019) and A Quiet Place: Day One (2024).
