Paul Morton Jr., better known as PJ Morton, is an acclaimed American musician, songwriter, and record producer.

He will be performing in Kenya on 15th September 2024 at the Glee Hotel. Morton will be accompanied by his live band, delivering a show that combines the vibrant energy of Africa with the soulful sounds of New Orleans.

A significant chapter in Morton’s career is his association with the global sensation, Maroon 5.

He joined the band in 2010 as a keyboardist and backing vocalist after being invited to audition by his friend and Maroon 5’s musical director, Adam Blackstone.

Following his successful audition, Morton quickly became an integral part of the band, contributing his unique blend of soul and R&B influences to enrich Maroon 5's signature Pop Rock sound.

Morton's impact on Maroon 5 extended far beyond the studio. His live performances with the band highlighted his exceptional talent, helping to maintain the high-energy, engaging shows that fans worldwide have come to love.

In 2012, Morton officially became a full-time member of Maroon 5, contributing his vocal and keyboard talents to the band’s fourth studio album, Overexposed, and continuing his contributions on subsequent albums, including V (2014), Red Pill Blues (2017), and Jordi (2021).

His ability to seamlessly blend into the band’s style while introducing new harmonies and textures significantly influenced Maroon 5’s evolving sound.

While continuing his journey with Maroon 5, Morton also cultivated a successful solo career, releasing critically acclaimed albums such as Gumbo and Paul.

His solo work often bridges genres, incorporating elements of Gospel, Jazz, and Funk into his R&B foundation, showcasing his versatility and artistic depth.
