Portgosuse Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has made history –becoming the first celebrirty to accumulate over 1 billion followers across all his social media platforms.
The Al Nassr striker used his Instagram page to thank his fans worldwide for always keeping up with him on social media.
He acknowledged that he has made history as far as social media numbers are concerned.
“We’ve made history — 1 BILLION followers! This is more than just a number - it’s a testament to our shared passion, drive, and love for the game and beyond.
“From the streets of Madeira to the biggest stages in the world, I’ve always played for my family and for you, and now 1 billion of us stand together,” Cristiano said.
He further expressed gratitude towards his fans for supporting him at every stage of his life
“You’ve been with me every step of the way, through all the highs and the lows. This journey is our journey, and together, we’ve shown that there are no limits to what we can achieve.
“Thank you for believing in me, for your support, and for being part of my life. The best is yet to come, and we’ll keep pushing, winning, and making history together,” Ronaldo added.
The new milestone comes days after the star made history for scoring at least 900 goals accumulatively in his football career.

At the moment, Cristiano is the most followed personality on Instagram with over 630 million followers.
On YouTube, Ronalso has over 60 million subscribers just months after joining the streaming platform.
On Facebook, the footballer has a following of 170 million followers while on Twitter he has 113 million followers.
In this generation, social media numbers is something to be proud of, as people with huge numbers are used to influence and advertise products by companies.
Advertisers who want their products and services to reach as many people as it is possible will always approach people with a huge following and that translates into money.
