Femi One, the popular rapper known for her hit song 'Utawezana,' has criticized city preacher Pastor Ben Kiengei following a viral video of the pastor mocking digital content creator Pritty Vishy.

In the video, Kiengei is seen making derogatory comments about Vishy, which has sparked outrage.

Femi One took to Instagram to express her frustration, highlighting the irony of a church leader, who preaches about everyone being created in the likeness of God, engaging in body shaming and using vile language.

"This video done pissed me off on so many levels. This is a Bishop, and on Sunday he will most likely be preaching about how we are all created in the likeness of God!!!" Femi One wrote in her post.

The rapper also criticized the show’s host for not stopping Kiengei and for encouraging the demeaning remarks instead.

She questioned why the host was laughing and engaging with Kiengei on such a sensitive issue.

Femi One called for a more serious and honest discussion about the role of clergy in society. "Na huyu Host anacheka cheka nini... such an enabler. And that simple boy joke... Distasteful to say the least. It's high time we have an honest conversation about the clergymen in this country. The F*ck!!! #God is love," she concluded.

Many of Femi’s followers echoed her sentiments, expressing their disgust and disappointment. Comments on her Instagram post include:

  • miss_sas.ssie: "This is soo disgusting uuurggh!"
  • dj_jacy: "This was so insensitive, but he has apologized. Tumsamehe tu."
  • katmirero: "What is even worse is the host laughing rather than protecting Pritty Vishy who is even young enough to be his daughter. This was disgusting!"

  • Mjunia254: "Damn, this is interesting. I'm not saying it's right but you're never at arms when Stevo Simple Boy is involved. Am I the only one seeing some kind of hypocrisy in this?"

The musician responded to Mjunia254, stressing the need to use one’s platform to amplify issues when they arise.
