Kylian Mbappe scored his first two La Liga goals as Real Madrid defeated Real Betis.
The French forward converted Federico Valverde's backheel pass to open the scoring, then calmly slotted a penalty past Rui Silva after the goalkeeper fouled Vinicius Jr.
Mbappe had been scoreless in his previous three La Liga appearances, though he did find the net on his debut for the club in the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta.
The 25-year-old, a summer signing from Paris Saint-Germain where he is the all-time top scorer with 256 goals, took 25 shots to score his first La Liga goal and 26 to score the penalty, leading Europe's top five leagues in shots.
Earlier, Real Betis had opportunities to score, with Abde Ezzalzouli heading wide from close range and Barcelona loanee Vitor Roque forcing a save with his first touch from the bench.
Real Madrid, the Spanish champions, created several chances, with Mbappe missing seven shots before scoring, and Eder Militao and Valverde also testing the goalkeeper. Vinicius hit the post with a deflected shot.
Madrid remain unbeaten after four league games but trail Barcelona by four points. Betis have earned just one point from their opening three matches.
