On Sunday, Lang'ata MP Phelix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang'o, humorously responded after a man who resembles him complained in an interview.

Jalas Junior, as he identifies himself on social media, lamented in the interview that the former radio presenter had promised to help him in the past but never fulfilled that promise.

A local blog shared the interview on Instagram, and Jalang'o responded by saying that he is not obligated to help someone just because they look like him.

"You know what's making me laugh? This is unbelievable! Just because we look alike, it becomes my responsibility to help you... if you resembled me in hard work and hustling, you wouldn't be doing this interview!" Jalang'o replied.

The politician further questioned the young man's work, suggesting that "looking like Jalas" cannot be considered a job.

"So when you're asked what you do for a living... Oh, I look like Jalas!" he added.

In the recent interview, Jalas Junior claimed that the only thing he ever received from the Lang'ata MP was Ksh1000 after an interview with him.

He alleged that Jalang'o had promised to help him after their interview, but despite constant reminders, nothing has ever come of it.

"My message is to ask him. Did he lie to me?" Jalas Junior questioned.

The young man has been appearing on social media for a while now, creating content by impersonating the Lang'ata MP in an effort to build his online presence.
