Tanzania has not won any medal at the Olympics in 40 years - Maina Kageni & King'ang'i

Tanzanian president Samia Hassan Suluhu has allegedly blamed Kenyans demos after her country failed to win any medal at the just concluded Olympics games in Paris, France.

Speaking on the morning show, Maina Kageni and Mwalimu discussed the apparent excuse from Tanzania.

“President Samia is saying Kenyans fooled Africa with demo’s kumbe behind the scenes they were practicing for the Olympics.

Maina interjected; Did you know that Tanzania was in the Marathon?

Mwalimu added; Do you know they have not won any medal in 40 years? And kuna mmoja aliweka history, watu washamaliza , wametoa mpka zile podium ndio yeye anafika. Akasema he was sent to represent his nation and not win the race. Bora afike. Mimi Naja tu subirini tu,”

They further weighed in on all the goodies Botswana’s Tebogo has received after winning the 200m race at the Olympics.

“Amepewa Nyumba, Bibi, pesa but here in Kenya we take our athletes for granted.

Unajua watakuja wapewe Murski and mambo kwisha. I think we are used to winning and we take our athletes for granted but we need to count our blessings,”

Maina added; Tanzania in 40 years never won a medal, Mwalimu interjected; Nigeria pia walituma watu 88 na wamerudi bila any medal. Hapa tuko na kama 11 na hata hatujui ni nani alishinda Gold. In Uganda, there is a lady who won and was picked up at the airport by the President himself,”.
