Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua has firmly stated that she would never work for President William Ruto.

In response to a question about whether she would have accepted a nomination if offered, Karua emphasized that she would not, and that her position on the matter is well-known. She clarified that she has not received any job offer from Ruto's government.

The former Justice Minister explained that she has had the experience of working with both Ruto and Raila Odinga in Parliament. She noted that Raila is easier to work with, as even when disagreements arise, there is always room for discussion.

"Of course I wouldn't work for William Ruto. No matter the changes or the quality of people he appoints, he acts as the minister for everything and doesn’t let others do their work.

"I have worked with both of them in Parliament, and I know Raila is easier to work with. You can have differences but still sit across the table and discuss them. There is no way I would accept to work for William Ruto, and they didn’t ask me because they know my stance," Karua said on Citizen TV.

During the interview, Karua described Ruto's nomination of a new Cabinet as a diversionary tactic. She argued that despite the changes, it was more of the same, and that the vetting of Cabinet Secretary nominees was merely a circus.

Karua insisted that the Ruto administration is ignoring the desires of the Kenyan people.

"The Cabinet nominations are a diversionary tactic. Ruto understood that the people want him to go for a fresh start. Yet, he proceeds to nominate a new Cabinet, and the vetting turns into a circus in Parliament.

"The message is that this is more of the same—nothing has changed, and nothing will change. The regime is tone-deaf to the demands of Kenyans, especially those voiced by the Gen Zs."

Karua has consistently maintained a firm stance against joining the Kenya Kwanza government.
