Hassan Mugambi in mourning

Hassan Mugambi, a communications advisor in the Ministry of Defense, is mourning the death of his grandmother.

The news was announced by his close friend Rashid Abdallah, a journalist at Citizen TV. Rashid said the burial service will take place on Tuesday afternoon in Kibra.

"Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. My brother @hassanmugambi has lost his maternal grandmother. The burial, Inshallah, is tomorrow at 1 pm in Kibra. Condolences to the family. Rest in peace, Ayeyo."

On his part, Mugambi described his grandmother as a great blessing in his life.

"You were such a blessing, guiding your children and their children, always putting God first. You prayed for us so much, and we shed tears during your prayers. Today we pray for you and will continue until Jannah, Inshallah... May Allah place you in the highest place in paradise."

Journalist Lulu Hassan also expressed her condolences upon hearing the news, saying;

"Inna lillahi wa ina illayhi raji’un... it is well Kabarsunuu."

Mugambi's grandmother was born in 1924.
