President William Ruto has dismissed the entire cabinet, except for Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, who also serves as the Foreign Affairs CS.

"I have decided to dismiss with immediate effect all cabinet secretaries and the attorney general of the Cabinet of Kenya, except the Prime Cabinet Secretary and the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs," Ruto announced.

In his Thursday address, President Ruto emphasized that government operations would continue seamlessly. "During this process, the operations of government will continue uninterrupted," he stated.

He also clarified that the office of the Deputy President remains unaffected.

Until a new cabinet is appointed, Principal Secretaries will coordinate the affairs of the Ministries. President Ruto promised to name the new cabinet after extensive consultations across all sectors.

"I will immediately engage in extensive consultations across different sectors and political formations, and with other Kenyans both in public and private, with the aim of setting up a broad-based government that will assist me in accelerating and expediting the necessary urgent and irreversible implementation of the program we have, including other radical measures to deal with the burden of debt," President Ruto explained.
