LSK calls for independent investigations on ‘massacre’ meted on Githurai residents on Tuesday night

LSK  President Faith Odhiambo has demanded investigations into the massive shooting in Githurai 45 on Tuesday night.

She asked the international community to investigate the matter independently.

As early as 6 p.m. after the protests, it is alleged that the military were seen around the Githurai area and netizens warned their fellow Kenyans to be cautious.

The residents faced mass shootings in the area but the number of people killed and injured is yet to be made public.

The reasons for the killings are yet to be known and released to the public.

However, the Law Society of Kenya has addressed the issue by calling upon the international community to conduct independent investigations on the 'Githurai massacre'.

''Is Githurai a protected area? Is Githurai an area that members of the public should not live in?'' LSK president, Faith Adhiambo, asked.

The LSK has demanded answers on why that took place and stated that people who caused those deaths should be held accountable.

Besides that, Kenyans also witnessed protestors being shot to death next to the parliament, Nairobi CBD yesterday with at least 5 killed.

Some bodies were seen lying helplessly on the ground and others were being rushed for medical help to no avail.

A group of protestors were seen covering a body of one with the flag of Kenya singing the national anthem as they acknowledged him as a hero.
