Lawyer marries hubby of female client she helped to divorce

One woman took to social media to express her confusion after discovering that her female lawyer had now married her ex-husband, whom the lawyer assisted her in divorcing in court.

According to the case, that was reported by a Facebook user named Ojong Agbor, the woman was greatly distressed after realizing this, two weeks after their divorce case was settled in court.

The woman, equally bewildered and distressed, lamented that after the ordeal of her divorce case, which she was assisted by a female lawyer, she later found out that the lawyer had inherited her position as the wife of her former husband, whom they had divorced.

"The lawyer who helped me handle my divorce case with my husband has now married my ex-husband, two weeks after the completion of the divorce proceedings in court," Agbor quoted the woman.

This sparked mixed reactions, with some claiming that in today's generation, one should not trust anyone, even if they are family or close relatives.

However, some defended the lawyer, saying that aside from being a lawyer, she is still a human being who needs love, and accepting to marry the former husband of her client is acceptable because she knew well that he was no longer someone else's husband but a free man after the divorce.
