Classic 105 radio host Maina Kageni has penned a heartfelt message to Jahmby Koikai’s family and friends following the untimely demise of the reggae MC and Deejay.

Taking to his socials Maina wrote; “Maaan... I still have vivid memories when we were in Dubai together and this was trending... Kumbe hawkujua tulikuwa kazi tu... my dear, you lived life to the fullest... a true definition of the Strength Of A Woman!!!! Thank you for everything Njambi Koikai! Rest well Rasta queen,”.

Jahmby died at the Nairobi hospital on Monday at around 9 pm after a long battle with Endometriosis.

Jahmby has previously been affected by a chronic condition known as endometriosis which she has battled since she was age 13.

Endometriosis is a painful disorder where tissue similar to the lining inside the uterus grows outside the uterus, causing severe pain and complications.

In 2017, Koikai launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for her treatment in the United States.

In 2018 she underwent 21 surgeries.

Her death came days after she was admitted in hospital with a blood appeal.

“"Hi fam, I'm currently admitted at the Pioneer Ward Nairobi Hospital and I kindly require Blood O positive. Kindly asking for blood donors for Mary Njambi Koikai," Njambi wrote on her Instagram stories on May 31, 2024.
