Why Drake has his own song on Camilla Cabello's new album

Award-winning rapper Drake has been accredited by Camilla Cabello, the Havana, to appear twice and have his own songs on her new fourth album, ''C, XoXo''

Camilla earlier said, ''Why does he have his own song? Because selfishly I just want to hear Drake on my album. I love that for me — it’s like that rebellious mood. Who says I can’t do that? ''

He will have a solo on an interlude called 'Uugly''. He will also feature on 'Hot Uptown'.

Aubrey Drake Graham is a Canadian rapper, singer, and actor. He is an influential figure in popular music and has been credited with popularizing R&B sensibilities in hip-hop artists.

Other artists featured on 'C, XOXO' include Playboi Carti, Lil Nas X, The-Dream, City Girls, and BLP Kosher — but Cabello said Drake is "GOAT," and getting him on the album "felt like shooting for the stars."

This good deal for Drake comes after his beef with Kendrick Lamar escalated and hit the headlines.

Kendrick and Drake have been involved in a rap feud since the early 2010s. The feud escalated in March 2024 after the release of "Like That" by Future, Metro Boomin, and Lamar.

Their relationship started as a collaboration in 2011 on Drake's album 'Take Care', followed by another on Lamar's album 'Good Kid', 'M.A.A.D Citya year later. Lamar later dissed Drake and several other rappers on the 2013 song "Control" by Big Sean, later clarifying that his verse was intended to be seen as "friendly competition".

They have been throwing shades on each other by releasing diss tracks addressing one another. They are yet to resolve their misunderstandings.

Critics have generally cited Lamar as leading or winning in the feud, including PitchforkThe Ringer, and Rolling Stone, with an Insider article claiming music critics and social media users considered Lamar the winner so far.
