Renowned Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan has compared life in her home country of Uganda to life abroad in South Africa, where she currently resides.

In a Sunday post, the mother of five spoke about how much she loves being in her home country as it gives her the opportunity to attend weddings.

She noted that unlike in Uganda, she usually does not attend weddings while in South Africa, where she has been living for the past few years.

"The best part about coming back home (to Uganda) is attending weddings, something I don't do in South Africa," Zari said on Instagram.

She accompanied her message with beautiful pictures of herself and her husband, Shakib Cham Lutaaya, enjoying romantic moments during their recent visit to Uganda where they attended a wedding.

"Life in the diaspora is not always good," she said.

Her husband, Shakib, also seemed to enjoy the moment and took the opportunity to talk about how special he feels being with the mother of five.

"With you, it's always special," he said.

The couple, both Ugandans, recently visited the East African country, where they enjoyed themselves and attended a wedding together.

The couple formalized their marriage in a private wedding held in South Africa earlier last month. The two have been dating for over a year.

Details of the wedding were kept highly private, but we managed to obtain some pictures and videos of the grand celebration.

The couple first legalized their long-term union in an Islamic religious wedding (Nikah) earlier last year.
