Akothee to visit Omosh's home country of Switzerland

Renowned Kenyan singer and entrepreneur Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee, has announced a work-related tour to Switzerland scheduled for next month.

On Sunday, the 43-year-old musician shared a poster announcing that on March 2 of this year, she will be performing at the sixth edition of the Ramogi Festival in the country, which would have been her in-laws' homeland.

The mother of five further explained that her partner and manager, Nelly Oaks, will accompany her to the European country.

"Switzerland. How I love this land ���������. Indeed, I will come with my Nelly Oaks just for your information ���������. Don't say I didn't tell you earlier," Akothee wrote beneath the poster she posted on Facebook.

The singer went on to express her deep love for her Swiss fans.

This will be Akothee's first visit to Switzerland since her official separation from her ex-husband, Denis 'Omosh' Schweizer, in July. The musician and Omosh had planned a second wedding in the country in July last year, but it did not materialize as they separated before the day arrived.

Akothee confirmed the end of her marriage to Omosh in November during a live session with her fans on social media.

In that session, the mother of five confirmed that she had exited the short-lived marriage in June while she and Omosh were on their honeymoon.

"I have moved on from that relationship. It's over. I want to tell you that I left that relationship in June. However, I won't go into details," Akothee said.

She added, "I enjoyed my marriage, I enjoyed my wedding. I have no regrets. I had my wedding on my birthday, and if things had gone wrong, as they have, I would have no regrets."

The 43-year-old musician hinted that she left her marriage after learning some things she did not know before.

However, she hinted that she did not immediately inform the Swiss national about her decision, and even when they were parting, she lied to him that she would not leave him.

"I left the relationship in June. Normally, I leave my relationships while still in them. When we were on the honeymoon, I discovered some things that I couldn't tolerate. Then he asked me, 'Will you leave me?' I said, 'No, my love, I love you.' When I was leaving Switzerland in July, at the airport, he asked me, 'Will you leave me?' I said, 'No, my love, I love you.' But in reality, I had already left," Akothee narrated.
