Manchester City star player Kevin De Bruyne visited the Grand Mosque of Sheikh Zayed in Abu Dhabi on Friday during the team's tour in the United Arab Emirates.

During the Premier League's winter break, the Manchester City squad and manager Pep Guardiola flew to Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

The team will enjoy a relaxing break in the sunny areas of Abu Dhabi before returning home to play against Spurs next week in an FA Cup match.

Earlier in December, the 32-year-old midfielder also visited schools in Abu Dhabi city and spent time with the school players, where he received a warm reception from the school children.

It is reported that the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF) has shown interest in buying the Belgian superstar and has been in contact with the players.

PIF sees him as their main target for the Saudi Pro League in the summer of 2024.

De Bruyne's contract with Manchester City expires in 2025, meaning the midfielder will need to look elsewhere to assess his future.

Two clubs from different levels of the Saudi leagues are reportedly interested in buying the Manchester City star for the 2024-25 season. One of them is the star-studded club Al Nassr, and the second-tier club Al-Qadsiah.

De Bruyne, 32, recently returned to the matchday squad against Sheffield United in December. He suffered a long-term muscle injury in the season opener and underwent surgery.

The three-time award-winning midfielder has played only one game for Manchester City this campaign, and according to journalist Rudy Galetti, his future at the club is still uncertain after the interest from Saudi clubs.
