Nairobi police are looking into the death of a lady whose body was discovered floating on the Nairobi River.

After being swept there, the body was discovered by villagers in the Gitare Marigu neighbourhood of Dandora.

The body of a deceased woman, estimated to be around 23, was discovered by police who had responded to the area.

There was a knife wound on her chest, according to the police, and the body had begun to decompose.

It is believed that she was killed somewhere else and her body was thrown there.

According to the police, she had no documents on her when they found her.

According to the authorities, the murder's motivation is still unknown, and an investigation has been launched into it.

In the last few months, there have been more reports of deaths found along the river, and an investigation is still ongoing.

According to the police, some of the victims were killed, and others drowned as a result of the city's intense downpour.

There have been no arrests made thus far, and the cases are still being investigated.

Adamson Bungei, the head of Nairobi police, invited relatives of the missing to come to the City Mortuary in order to aid in the investigation of the cases.

In the meantime, authorities in Nyakach, Kisumu County, are looking into the murder of a 65-year-old man whose body was discovered at his gate.

Douglas Malo Okeyo, the dead, was attacked by unidentified individuals while checking on a commotion at his gate, according to police.

It is believed that when the gang saw the gate was closed, they intended to enter the compound.

This alarmed Okeyo, who in the morning tragedy of December 18 proceeded to check on the same after waking up.

After responding to the scene, police said that he had been attacked with sharp items.

Nothing was taken from his home following the murder.

The reason wasn't immediately clear. The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and further probe.
