Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne seems to be using his time away from the field to good use while still recovering from an injury that has kept him out for several months.

Fans of the Canadian rapper, Drake were shocked after discovering that Kevin De Bruyne seems to have been mentioned as one of those who contributed to writing the composition of the artist's song.

Wick Man, the 27th track on Drake's new album 'For All The Dogs - Scary Hours Edition' has three songwriters credited in the track's production.

They are A.Graham (Drake), A.Mamam (New York producer known as The Alchemist) and K. De Bruyne.

Although it is not yet confirmed whether this is Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne, he has been credited as a writer according to music website Genius.

De Bruyne has been sidelined since August due to a hamstring injury that required surgery.

But it looks like he's been putting his time off the field to good use by hitting the studio with Drake.

The song itself has no football references in it and mostly focuses on Drake's life and rapping beefs.

In the song, Drake seems to reopen a long-standing feud with fellow American rapper Pusha T. Fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, were quick to joke about De Bruyne's contribution off the pitch.

One account wrote: "Even when he's not playing he still finds a way to help someone by providing an assist."

Another fan wrote: "Great support from KDB but this time for DRAKE." A third wrote: "Born to help."

Manchester City are hoping that De Bruyne can return to fitness before the new year with Pep Guardiola releasing a fitness update this week.
